About YOU'RE NEVER ALONE CIC
You’re Never Alone CIC is a community-led organisation created to support parents and carers of children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities). We provide a safe, inclusive, and understanding space for families to connect, share, and grow—because we know what this journey really feels like.
The organisation was founded by Ellen, a parent who experienced first-hand the challenges, isolation, and emotional strain that can come with raising a child with additional needs. Her vision was to create a community where no parent or carer ever felt alone—somewhere built on empathy, lived experience, and genuine understanding.
There is also a number of volunteers and organisations that give their time and support to help bring the authenticity, and real-life understanding to everything we do.
At You’re Never Alone CIC, we offer:
- Inclusive Family Events during school holidays, such as our Summer and Easter SEND days, designed for parents/carers and children to enjoy activities together in a welcoming space.
- Weekly Support Groups during term time, providing a safe and non-judgemental environment for parents and carers to talk, learn, and care for themselves.
- Educational Talks & Workshops, including expert-led sessions on topics like PDA, to help families feel more informed, empowered, and supported.
The dream was to build a community within a community—and we truly feel we’ve achieved that. Over the past few years, we’ve seen real friendships form and lasting support networks develop. Everything we do is rooted in lived experience, kindness, support and the belief that nobody should face this journey alone.
